Following on from my love affair with this lipstick, I decided to try another Metallized shade from Urban Decay. Every time I walk past the counter, I fall in love with a new shade. This time it was Cruel’s turn to be mine.
In the bullet, Cruel is a deep metallic red, with slight burgundy and brown tones to it. The glitter dream is definitely real with this one! As usual the packaging is perfect, so classy, yet ridiculously hard to photograph! I won’t go on too much about the packaging as you have heard it all before on here, but I still love it.
Like with Big Bang, this shade is super glittery. The photos don’t do it justice at all, it is just jam packed with glittery goodness. Again, this doesn’t feel tacky at all on the lips, but you can’t slightly feel the glitter rubbing against your lips when you are applying it.
Before I start, let me just let out a little squeal for the fact that I finally managed to get lilac hair!! After several attempts, my sister in law nailed it for me and I couldn’t love it more. Anyway, back to the lipstick…
Cruel is a bright, metallic red that instantly screams Christmas to me. My year revolves around Christmas though, so I tend to find Christmas in most things ha! This lipstick applies a lot more of a brighter red than it looks in the bullet and loses a lot of the burgundy tones. I don’t mind this, but if you are looking for a bit more of a berry red, I would maybe steer clear of the one.
The lipstick lasts for hours on the lips and fades to a nice glittery, muted red which is still pretty wearable. I really like this colour and I have a feeling it will definitely be my staple item when the festive season begins.
