My Favourite Perfume – Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Classique’

jean paul gaultier classique

I have loved the smell of Jean Paul Gaultier perfumes ever since I was a little girl. I always remember looking at my mums dressing table and being absolutely fascinated by the shape of the bottle. Let’s face it, the bottle is an icon in itself but the scent to me has always been something else.

I always used to sneakily spray it and was convinced my mum couldn’t tell I had used it. It is a pretty strong perfume so I doubt I got away with that one too much but she always pretended not to know.

My JPG stash was starting to run scarily low before Christmas which was luckily spotted by my mum, who popped a replacement in with my Christmas presents. I have said this countless times, but she is an absolute star and definitely fuels my beauty habit! Classique is seriously one of my favourite perfumes of all time. It is quite an intense fragrance, but one that I love to wear throughout the colder months as it is so deep it makes me feel all warm and cosy. I can totally see why this is a classic (geddit!) and I don’t know what I would ever do if this got discontinued.
I went through a stage of collecting all of the different designs, but binned them all one day when I had one of those ‘I must not hoard’ impulse moments. Slightly regret this now though, I had some absolute gems.
Other fragrances come and go, but I always come back to this one.
What is your favourite perfume?

I've never found it to be very strong – in fact it wears off on me very quickly which gives me a sad as I adore the fragrance. I have always put this down to it being an EDT rather than an EDP, is it possible to get it as an EDP does anyone know?

Oh no, that's a shame. I'm sure it comes as an eau de parfum too! 🙂

Ahhh I actually love this one! My mum has it and I nab it from time to time… my favourite (at the moment) is YSL black opium 🙂
