Another year, another new MAC lipstick in the collection. I really need to stop. Well technically, this lipstick isn’t new. I brought All Fired Up way back in September in Duty Free, but have only just rediscovered my love for it. I wore this shade quite a lot when I first came back from holiday, but then the winter berry tones took over and it got a little overshadowed.
All Fired Up is a Retro Matte finish, which is one of my favourite finishes when i’m looking for an in your face lipstick. The colour vibrancy is just the best and as soon as you start to apply, the boldness of the colour is there instantly. In terms of texture, it is very similar to Flat out Fabulous although this tends to tug ever so slightly more. Saying this, it is still really easy to apply (I use a brush) and doesn’t bleed at all once on.
This lipstick is the most perfect mix of red and pink. It has the same boldness of a red lip, but I think the pink softens it ever so slightly making it a lot more wearable. MAC describe this All Fired Up as a bright fuchsia matte, however I would say that this is a lot more red toned than fuchsia.
I wore this shade quite a bit over the Christmas period, when I wanted something bold but slightly different to red. The staying power is really good and is one of those lipsticks that is still lingering in the morning when you think you have taken all of your makeup off.
