As you can see the packaging is lovely. You can probably guess, but teal is one of my favourite colours and I am a total magpie when it comes to shiny things. Due to its shininess though, it is so hard to take a good photo of. I must have taken at least 100 before I found one that didn’t have my reflection/a light shining on it/was too dark or had a cat in the background.
There has been a MAC voucher burning a whole in my pocket since Christmas. I realise that this wasn’t actually that long ago, but I am the worst person when it comes to vouchers, I feel as though they need to be spent within minutes of receiving them! I spent my voucher a few weeks ago and one of the bits that I picked up was Tonight’s the Night! eyeshadow from the Magic of the Night collection. I wanted to try an eyeshadow from this collection ever since it was released but thought I had missed out, as we all know MAC collections usually sell out within seconds. When I saw that the eyeshadow was still in stock, I knew I needed to have it.
Tonight’s the Night did not disappoint at all. I mean the shade matches my hair so it was always going to be a winner for me. The colour itself is a deep teal with darker green almost black tones to it, it reminds me of a deep, mystical lagoon. This is the most perfect mermaid shade and I just cannot get over how vivid it is. I love anything metallic and this just oozes metallicness…totally made that word up.
I found it to apply slightly better when it was a little damp as it didn’t pick up all of the glitter when it was applied dry. The colour payoff is still really good when dry though, just not as glitzy and we all know I love glitzy. After a good few hours, this still hadn’t budged at all. Although I did end up poking myself in the eye in the evening and then it did budge, all down my face.
As you can probably tell, I am such a fan of this shade. The boldness, the texture and the packaging is just perfect.
