Crochet To Help Me Sleep

crochet flower

I have really been struggling to sleep lately. I don't know what it is, but as soon as the light goes out, I am wide awake. I just seem to have a million things buzzing around my head and obviously bedtime is the perfect time for them to pop back in. For a while I put this down to playing on my phone whilst laying in bed, so decided to stop doing this and see how it goes. Instead, I have been crocheting.

I have been able to crochet for years, ever since my mum and nan spent hours trying to teach me. They kind of gave up with knitting after I couldn't understand that and moved onto crochet instead. I must admit all of a sudden knitting just clicked and you would have thought I had won the lottery when I knitted my first row. I have always found both of them really therapeutic, but have a habit of starting things and never finishing them. This is probably the 5th blanket I have started, but I have a feeling I may actually finish this one...lol.

You may have noticed that I was a bit quiet on the social side last week, I actually got a bit carried away making flowers. Sadly, this hasn't helped too much with my sleep, but I will still continue to crochet before bed, as I will have a nice new blanket at the end of it.
