I have really been struggling to sleep lately. I don't know what it is, but as soon as the light goes out, I am wide awake. I just seem to have a million things buzzing around my head and obviously bedtime is the perfect time for them to pop back in. For a while I put this down to playing on my phone whilst laying in bed, so decided to stop doing this and see how it goes. Instead, I have been crocheting.

I have loved the smell of Jean Paul Gaultier perfumes ever since I was a little girl. I always remember looking at my mums dressing table and being absolutely fascinated by the shape of the bottle. Let's face it, the bottle is an icon in itself but the scent to me has always been something else.

Do you ever have those days when you feel you need to put the darkest lipstick you own on to get through the day? That was me over the weekend.

Happy Sunday everybody!
I hope you have all had a lovely week. Mine has been a tad stressful so I thought I would have a slouchy Sunday and chill in my new favourite T-Shirt from Primark. Can we just take a minute to appreciate this tee! I saw this and knew I needed to have it straightaway, you can't beat Primark for a good Disney or Cartoon T-Shirt.
Beauty and the Beast is hands down one of my favourite Disney films and I actually prefer Beast to any of the other characters. I love Belle obvs, but Beast just makes the film for me. I think I might be the only one that actually prefers Beast before he turns back into the prince. If I was Belle, I would have wanted him to turn back into Beast again ha! Not too sure if that would have made as good a film though!
I am thinking of trying to get back into outfit posts too, I haven't done them in such a long time but will see how it goes.
I am in a bit of a rambly mood today, can you tell? Enjoy your Sunday :)

There has been a MAC voucher burning a whole in my pocket since Christmas. I realise that this wasn't actually that long ago, but I am the worst person when it comes to vouchers, I feel as though they need to be spent within minutes of receiving them! I spent my voucher a few weeks ago and one of the bits that I picked up was Tonight's the Night! eyeshadow from the Magic of the Night collection. I wanted to try an eyeshadow from this collection ever since it was released but thought I had missed out, as we all know MAC collections usually sell out within seconds. When I saw that the eyeshadow was still in stock, I knew I needed to have it.

It only seems like 5 minutes ago I was posting about December's Pop in a Box. Well I was a bit late with that one, but it was still a welcome surprise when the little brown box came through the door..
This month I received Alcide from True Blood! The best character after my Eric of course!
I used to be a big fan of True Blood, but I have never actually seen the last series. I go through stages like this, when I get really into something one minute and then forget about it the next. I'm sure it has been recorded on telly for months now, I may get around to watching it eventually.
I do love this Funko. Alcide isn't a character that I would have brought myself, but I definitely don't hate him. His likeness is just the best, the muscles completely make him and he makes me chuckle every time I look at him.
Now, I only need to get Eric Northman to make me super happy!

You may recognise Swan Street from the Festive Crackers that I received for Christmas. Out of all of the polishes in the set, glitters aside of course I was most intrigued as to how this would look. Glitter polishes are my favourite, so I can't really compare them to anything else. I think I am a little over wearing dark nail colours now and the snowy weather made me think of popping this colour on instantly.

Last night I went to the theatre with my Mum, Auntie and Cousin. I absolutely love the Theatre and am quite lucky where I live, as Milton Keynes Theatre tends to get a selection of really good shows which sometimes come in straight from the West End. Musicals are totally my thing, you can get lost in a musical and they definitely become my escape for a few hours. Singing in the Rain is my absolute favourite, I could sit and watch that countless times and never get bored, although I only have to hear the tune and I am balling my eyes out. Tears of happy memories though, I get taken back to watching it with my Gramps singing or whistling along when I was little.

The eagle eyed among you may have noticed that I have finally got into a bit of a routine with my blog posting. If you haven't, then why not?! I joke of course, but I noticed that I have never put on here which days I actually post. I have made a little table so you know when to check back and see my new bits and pieces.
Obviously, my posts are not just limited to these days you may get the additional gem thrown in too, but at the minute this is when I like to post. Now I say this, but there may be times when I can't post either. I really hope that I'm not tempting fate now, knowing me something will stop me getting a post up until 2018 now!
As much as I would like to, I don't have a particular theme per day either. As you know I write beauty, lifestyle and nerdy posts and try to spread them out, but I just like to write what I fancy. Maybe one day I will do this, but at the minute I'm living on the edge and writing my blog posts however I am feeling.
I feel like this is the start of me being a bit more organised with the blog and I love it! Remember to check back for a new post on Sunday!

♥ I am Groot. ♥
Oh Groot, you cute little thing you! I can't help but smile every time I look at this little guy. Out of all of the Funko's I own, he definitely has the most expressive face! I mentioned before that Lewis got him for me for Christmas. After lots of subtle hinting that I wanted the original Dancing Groot, he surprised me with the seasonal version as well. What a love.
Whenever I feel a little sad, I imagine his cute little face and all is right in the world again! Guardians of the Galaxy is such a good film too. I don't know why but it took me ages to get round to watching it, but when I did I instantly fell in love. Especially with Baby Groot, as you can probably tell!

I love playing with makeup at the weekend. I think its the fact that I'm not rushed compared with the week, when I just scrape it to work on time after picking the best lipstick to wear that day. What can I say, I love my bed!
I liked my makeup yesterday, so thought I would take a quick snap and show you what I used.

The January blues have well and truly kicked in today. I needed a bit of cheering up and thought of no better place to look than the Pokémon Center! I have loved Pokémon ever since I was younger, I remember getting a huge Meowth for my 10th birthday, which I still refuse to let anyone throw away. He is definitely coming with me when I move out and will take pride of place on the bed.
I still enjoy playing it every now and again too, but I seem to go through phases where I play it for hours then don't touch it for weeks. I still think they are mega cute though and have fallen in love with quite a few bits on the website!
Here are my favourites...
Clefairy Plush // Pikachu 'Duskull' Keyring // Snorlax Plush // Pikachu 'Libre' Plush // Eevee Essences Notebook //
Rainy Day Pikachu // Squirtle Plush // Pikachu 'Intern' Plush // Eevee Ringbinder // Jolteon Cutie Plush // Raichu Cutie Plush
There are so many good items that it was super hard to only choose a couple. Squirtle has always been my favourite Pokémon though, I would always pick him first.
The only downfall is that the Pokémon Center do not ship to the UK. I may have to fly to Tokyo with an empty suitcase and fill it with plushes to bring back with me!

So crackers are totally my thing, especially crackers that contain nail polishes! I'm not too sure if I have ever told you about my cracker obsession before but I absolutely love the things. Not as much now that I am a bit older (lies), but when I was little we would go through boxes of them at Christmas. My mum would instantly be replacing boxes and it seemed like every dinner was accompanied by a cracker.

Another year, another new MAC lipstick in the collection. I really need to stop. Well technically, this lipstick isn't new. I brought All Fired Up way back in September in Duty Free, but have only just rediscovered my love for it. I wore this shade quite a lot when I first came back from holiday, but then the winter berry tones took over and it got a little overshadowed.

In what has started out to now be a Christmas tradition by my mum, I opened a beautiful Crabtree & Evelyn hand therapies gift set. As my post last year went down well, I thought that I would show you what I received in the Blossoming Hands Collection this year.

My mum paid for December's Pop in a Box for me as a Christmas present, hence why i'm super late with this post. It was so hard to hand the little brown box of joy over to her when it came through, not helped by the fact she opened it and told me she had no idea who it was so I didn't even get a hint or anything, wah!
Christmas Day came and I was intrigued to see which Funko Pop was inside and for some reason it was a figure that I really wasn't expecting...
Selina is it? "Cat."
Selina Kyle from Gotham. I don't know why I didn't expect this one, it was on my wish list after all!
I absolutely love Gotham, after Lewis got me hooked and can't wait for the new season to start. Selina is pretty cute, although her chin is annoying me ever so slightly. I know I am being picky, but I am a bit of a perfectionist and it looks as though the body has not been slotted into the head properly. It's not a massive issue, I just like my Funko family to be perfect! On the plus, I really like her outfit though..ever cloud and all that!

2015 was a bit of a rubbish year to be honest with you. You can probably guess this from my last post and even some of the bits I posted about throughout the year if you are a regular reader of mine. I never even thought of doing one of these posts for that reason alone. Every time I thought of 2015, all I could think of and see was sadness. But looking through everybody else's amazing roundups, I started to have a look through my Instagram and saw that throughout the crappyness some good memories were also made.
So behold, my 2015 happy times taken from Instagram. (sorry its lateeeee!)
Well, hello 2016!
I have been slowly counting down the days until you graced us with your presence. 2015 has been a dreadful year from the start, so I have been ready to say good riddance for a long time now. Please don't let me down 2016, we got this!
I decided to set myself a few goals for this year, blog and life related. I am determined to not give up on any of them, so fingers crossed I don't lose motivation..
