There is a certain selection of songs that I feel I need to hear before I can fully embrace the Christmas spirit. They are songs that come out every year and get played throughout the whole month of December without me even slightly getting sick of them. Most of them remind me of when I was little, which is why I love them so much.
Last Christmas / Wham! - My all time favourite! I give it my all when I sing along to this, you can just ask the people I work with, I'm sure they love it!
I Believe in Father Christmas / Greg Lake - I really like this song, it is also one of my mums favourites, so probably got forced into listening when I was younger.
The Power of Love / Frankie goes to Hollywood - I love, love, love this song. I listen to it all through the year, but love that it gets played at Christmas. Although I do seem to hate any cover version.
All I Want for Christmas / Mariah Carey - Standard Christmas song. It isn't Christmas until you hear it.
It's Beginning to look alot like Christmas / Michael Bublé - Let's face it, Bublé is Christmas. End of.
Sleigh Ride / Leroy Anderson - My mum used to play this when I was little and we used to dance around the room. So this brings back a lot of memories, although she refuses to dance around the room with me now.
Let it Snow / Dean Martin - I love this song, it's simple but perfect.
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year / Andy Williams - It really is, I feel festive whenever I hear this!
I hope you liked my selection, I feel super festive now and will pop this playlist on when I do my last minute wrapping later. Yes I am that person!
