As much as I enjoy Spring and Summer, there is just something about Autumn that I love. When it comes to it, I think there is something nice to be found in all seasons but as we are well into Autumn, I though I would share with you my favourite bits…
If you follow me on Instagram, you will probably notice that the first sign of a breeze and I have the Hot Chocolate’s ready. I don’t know what it is but as soon as it’s cold I find it perfectly acceptable to have a Hot Chocolate pretty much everyday and not even feel guilty about it!
This is the time of year that I tend to watch most films, there is nothing like snuggling down when it is a bit chilly outside and putting a good film on.
Cosy Fleece Blankets
When I mentioned snuggling down, I normally have a snuggly fleece blanket permanently attached to me from the beginning of October. What can I say, I like being warm!
I love layering clothes and find this is perfect for Autumn as I go from hot to cold and back again super quickly! I get really ratty when I get too hot, so it’s probably best for everyones sake that I can cool down quickly.
Oh scarves…especially the Tartan kind! My absolute favourite and one of the things I most look forward to wearing at this time of year.
Darker Make Up
I wear any make up that I fancy throughout the year, whether light, dark, heavy or natural but I love the ranges that come out around now. Hello berry lips and deep smokey eyes!
Obviously Halloween is something to look forward to around this time. I have already confessed my love for all things cute and spooky, but it is definitely something that excites me about Autumn! That and feeling the need to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas 200 times before the year is out.
Every year I love watching my local Fireworks display and then coming home and having a hot chocolate (any excuse!). I find fireworks so pretty and love the thought of wrapping up super warm and watching them, only if it isn’t raining though, I can’t deal with rain.
Last but not least, Autumn means we are a little closer to my absolute favourite time of year….CHRISTMAS! I could write a whole separate post about Christmas, which I probably will at some point (if not several) but Autumn makes me mentally prepare for Christmas excitement that follows. Only 64 days to go…
This is to name just a few things that I look forward to at this time of year. What are your favourite things about Autumn? ♥
