I thought I would try a new brow product as I have been nearing the end of my favourite Benefit Brow Zing palette. I am literally scraping the edges to get the wax out so thought it must be time to try something else. I was buying a few bits from Maybelline when I noticed it was on 3 for 2 and thought I may as well pick up a new brow product as my freebie. I must admit I was in a bit of a rush so just picked this up without thinking, I just saw the word brow and brought, nothing like an impulse buy!
I didn't really know what to expect from this, I have never used a brow product which has a mascara shaped wand before so this was a first for me. I must admit, I did find this application really hard, I don't know if it is because I am the clumsiest person with the heaviest hand or the actual method is hard but I just couldn't get it to sit right. The main bit of the brow was easy, but as soon as I got to the section where my brow thins out, I just found the wand too thick for me.
The actual product sat really nicely, although it didn't really give me the dramatic Cara Delevingne eyebrows that I was lusting for. The shade I found sat a bit off on me too, I opted for Dark Brown as I have naturally dark hair but it showed more of a charcoal black shade and didn't look very natural. I'm not too sure how Medium Brown looks, but that may have been a better choice for my complexion as this was way too harsh.
Anyone who wants to add a subtle shade change could make this work but I probably wouldn't recommend if you wanted to use it for dramatic brows which is what I was hoping for judging by the name. Personally I prefer a bit more of a filled in look as this is a bit more sparse with colour, but may be better if you want to keep eyebrows really natural. ♥
