I've mentioned before that I have rosacea on my face and have tried endless methods to cover it up. Usually I go for the greenest primer going then pop a foundation over the top but as the weather has been so hot I have tried to hold back on the foundation a tad. I feel a lot more comfortable wearing foundation, but it does tend to slide off my face when its warm, which isn't an attractive sight let me tell you!
I was starting to run out of my green primer and decided to opt for something a little different instead of replacing it. I noticed L'Oreal Anti-Redness CC cream and thought I would give this a try as it would hopefully eliminate me having to use foundation as well! L'Oreal claim that the cream 'works with your natural tone to help neutralise the appearance of redness' and I am pleasantly surprised that it does!
L'Oreal Anti-Redness CC Cream - £9.99
I am really impressed with the way that this works, the more you rub it in, the more foundation-like it becomes. I really wasn't sure how well this was going to work before I used it but it really does transform in front of your eyes. As you start to rub it in, it changes from green to beige and seems to just blend in. I'm not too sure how it will work with other skin tones though as there isn't a shade to choose from just the standard colour.
I found the texture is a bit runny to start with, but the more it blends in, the easier it is to work with. You do have to rub this is quickly though, otherwise it dries streaky and does not let you blend at all, leaving orangey toned patches, not good. In terms of covering redness, I have found this has worked really well on me. I am left with a slight hint of red but the majority seems to get evened out to a more natural looking colour. It is a good base if you wanted to layer on other products, but I have just been using it on its own with blusher for a more natural look which is something I never do, so that shows how much red is covered!
I can honestly say that I have swapped my list of skincare products for this as it feels so light for the summer and has an SPF20 too!
Have you tried this or any of L'Oreal's other CC creams? ♥
